When Online is the Only Way: CME Live Stream & On-demand

You need CME credits, but you have limited time and funding. Or, your learning style is better suited to a self-directed pace, in a quieter environment. Or maybe convenience is your love language, and online is, well, easiest. No matter your truth, we’ve got your back, because at Skin, Bones, Hearts & Private Parts (SBHPP), we offer all of our CME training in-person, on-demand, and live stream.

But if we’ve learned nothing else during our planet’s ongoing pandemic, it’s that learning online is absolutely doable, valuable, and effective, so let’s take a deeper dive into what SBHPP’s live streaming and on-demand CME medical credits look like!

Our CME Live Streaming & On-demand Courses

Live Stream CME Conferences

Our CME live streaming conference option essentially puts you in the room – in real-time, from anywhere in the world – at one of our many in-person events, led by expert speakers on topics as varied as dermatology, orthopedics, cardiology and emergency medicine, women’s health, plus tracks in pain management and pharmacology, diabetes, ER, and mental health. And, just like our in-person participants can network with peers and submit questions to the speakers live, so can you, via the chat function.

“SBHPP’s live stream option allows for an ‘in-person feel’ while maintaining the ability to remain in the comfort and safety of our own space, and saves money due to not having to travel,” said Nisha McKenzie, PA-C, CSC, NCMP, IF, Women’s Health Collective, one of our frequent speakers.

“Live streaming is the perfect way to maximize convenience and accountability,” added Cynthia Griffith, MPAS, PA-C, Dermatology Physician Assistant in Dallas, Texas. “Log in during the conference and watch the lectures from your house or office, ask questions, and get them answered by the speaker so you don’t miss anything!”

Want a little bit of both in-person and live stream? No problem! Sarah Bolander, DMSc, PA-C, DFAAPA, Associate Professor in the PA program at Midwestern University and Adjunct Faculty in the Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) program at the University of Lynchburg, told us that she has known some attendees who “personalized their CME experience further by creating a hybrid option that allowed for a combination of in-person participation and live streaming from the comforts of a hotel room or sitting on the beach!”

On-demand CME Packages

On-demand CME is the most flexible online option, allowing nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and physicians a way to earn CME credits from anywhere at any time by purchasing a pre-recorded course and learning at their own pace – no matter what work and life throws at them! The only limitation is that recorded CME sessions must be watched within a year of purchase to earn CME credits.

SBHPP’s on-demand CME courses are all sourced from our 10 in-person locations, ensuring you’re getting the same up-to-date content as everyone else – and offering the same focus onfull-day sessions dedicated to one topic, a strategy that Jerry Weniger, PhD, ATC, PA-C, director, Physician Assistant Program, and associate professor, Department of Health Professions at James Madison University, finds is particularly useful for getting a lot of content packed into one session.

“Our brains get locked into the specific content area of that day, which allows you to really focus and dive deep. This is a better approach than constantly jumping around to various areas of medicine throughout the [CME program].”

“Our lives are complex, and we all need to participate in continuing education in different ways,” added McKenzie. “The Skin Bones team understands working professionals and the roadblocks we face, and they offer multiple options for earning CME. The on-demand option is a great example; it allows those of us with little to no time off to participate in learning opportunities from experts while in the comfort of our own space and at our own time.”
