TeleMed and Total Triage Announce Merger and Rebranding as CareXM
TeleMed, Inc. and Total Triage are pleased to announce their merger and rebranding of both companies as CareXM. Combining the strengths of both companies, CareXM offers healthcare providers a single solution for clinical triage services, non-clinical answering services, and a unified patient communications platform.
Founded in 1986, TeleMed has been a leader in streamlining provider operations and connecting patients with their appointment scheduling and after-hours answering services. TeleMed’s experience with long-standing national healthcare systems, large and small, allow CareXM to help more providers extend and transform their patient care experiences.
Total Triage was founded in 2010 as After-Hours Triage and has been a leader in providing after-hours triage nursing and communications technology solutions to home health and hospice providers nationwide.
Jonathan Means, one of the founders of Total Triage and now CEO of CareXM, is enthusiastic about the move. “When we combine our progressive telehealth technologies with high-quality, patient care from our triage nurses and non-clinical patient advocates, we are able to create a unique care experience for everyone involved. Patients get the urgent help they need faster. Nurses can focus more on patient care instead of administrative tasks. Administrators can use the business intelligence gathered from using our technology to improve their processes and financial outcomes. Everybody wins.”
CareXM has recently added new offices and staff in Lehi, Utah, while expanding operations at locations in Johnson City, Tennessee, and employing a significant remote workforce. It serves 4,000+ providers across the USA, managing over 6 million calls and messages annually. While the merger officially took place in October 2019, the integration of personnel, operations, staff, and assets is ongoing.
Branding the new organization is also taking place over the coming months and will include a new CareXM website, logo, graphics, and communications assets. In the meantime, more information about the products and services CareXM offers can be found at totaltriage.com and telemedinc.com.
